Christi Watson

Owner / Master Stylist

After graduating from Empire Beauty School more than 20 years ago, Christi jumped into her career, constantly striving to improve her skills and polish her style. She came to believe in the importance of really listening to her clients and continues to attend education events to give her the tools and techniques necessary to create a style that suits each client’s hair texture, styling abilities and lifestyle. Growing concerns about the impact of the hair industry on the planet and health of stylists lead Christi to choose hair care brands that were people and planet friendly without sacrificing performance. Fringe carries Hair care lines and products that are sustainable without losing performance. Opening Fringe Hair Studio has given Christi the opportunity to create a place where she can provide the best possible experience for her clients and fellow team members. In her spare time Christi enjoys reading and hanging out with her dog Sherlock. Follow her on Instagram @fringeonthesquare.

Maura Gagne

Independent Stylist

Maura wanted to work for Disney’s ink and paint department when she was a kid, coloring their animation. Color, and any form of art, has always been an obsession. Now she has living canvases in her clients. She counts herself blessed that she is inspired everyday and gets to play with color, sculpt an wedding updo, freshen up or create a whole new style with a haircut. Because that truly is an art. You’ll notice her hair is never the same, which is why she loves fashion colors, they change every time you wash it. It matches her personality - constantly changing. And you never know if she’ll have her hair straight or rock her crazy natural curls. Maura has been in the industry since 1997 and has no plans to leave. Her two sons grew up in the salons she’s worked in and now her twin granddaughters visit her as well. Follow her on Instagram @craftbeercolorist.

Mary Michaud

Master Stylist

Mary started her career in 2010 on her stylist journey. She graduated from the Portsmouth Beauty School and assisted at a salon for a year mastering her skills. When she was in high school art was and still is her safe place. She found the inspiration and comfort in art as a young girl, and has carried this with her into her hair journey. Mary has worked hard in her craft to gain as much education as possible. Always looking at the new trends moving forward. She was also an educator for stylists working for a corporate company teaching all over New England. Her passion has always lied in the world of color and cutting hair. Art fits this career perfect from painting to sculpting. This ensures that she gives her guest exactly what they are looking for and not what the stylist wants. Your happiness is what is most important.

Mary also focuses on dreadlocks and does loctician work. Helping guests with maintenance or starting a full new set of locs. She uses the crochet method ensuring the hair is not stressed or damaged.

Instead of creating art on canvas or with clay she uses people as her median.

In her personal life she enjoys nature, bakerys, music ,and hanging out with her 3 dogs.
